Comments:

With the Lunar New Year coming in the next few weeks, you can make these little golden sweet treats as a gift or for your (family’s) own consumption. It is a recipe you cannot go wrong with as the ingredients needed are easy to obtain, the recipe is simple to follow and quick to prepare, and mostly importantly, the end product is delicious!!! These goodies always disappear within two days of baking! Do not just take my words for it. Try it yourself!

Cornflake cookies - final product

*The sugar mixture acts as a coating for the cornflakes, holding them together and giving them the sweet taste. Hence, the more cornflakes you add, the lesser the available sugar mixture for each of the cornflakes. The end result is that you will get more cornflakes cookies that are less sweet as compared to if you were to add lesser cornflakes. If there is too much cornflakes in relation to the sugar mixture, the cornflakes cookies might not hold together as well. If there is too little cornflakes in relation to the sugar mixture, some whitish sugar crystals would from after some time. You can either eat or remove them before eating.
